Álvaro Paños Cubillo


While Ali was in the University in Madrid, Spain, he started to practice martial arts, but after a few years he felt he needed something more spiritual/philosophical, so he tried Yoga.

He started to practice Yoga in Madrid, Spain, in 2007 with some of the most recognized Iyengar Yoga teachers of the city. During 2007 and 2008 he took regular Iyengar Yoga classes and attended several intensive workshops. In that time he already knew that he wanted to go deeper in the path of Yoga.

In 2009 Ali moved to Beijing to work as an intern in the Economic Office of the Spanish Embassy in Beijing. Since to 2009 he have been practicing and learning different Yoga styles in Beijing (such as Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga, Bikram) with the most outstanding teachers and in the most popular studios: YogiYoga, Yoga Yard, Fine Yoga, Bikram Yoga Studio and Prana Vikasa Yoga.

In 2010 he started to give private Yoga lessons meanwhile he was working as a Spanish teacher.

In 2011 he started the Iyengar Teacher Training Program in Beijing under the direction of Sri Faeq Biria, one of the closest pupils of BKS Iyengar.

 Ali teaches English and Chinese.
